Dear Lord,
As you know we've had so many ladies write us who have miscarried in the past and are now pregnant and fearful. Jesus, please be with them today and give them Your overwhelming sense of peace. Give the hope and joy in you Lord. Please keep their baby safe and help them to carry to full term. Thank you Heavenly Father. In your Beautiful Name we Pray, Amen

Mark 11:25 "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
I'm doing the Beth Moore bible study on Revelation. It is very intense and I highly recommend it!

Ps 78:4, 6: "We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done... so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children"

Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Genesis 18:14 "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"
This little boy has captured my heart. What a blessing! And how God speaks through this little girl is amazing!
And they even show Jesus in the background!!! Much better then American Idol. http://ht.ly/6hiqA

Monday, August 29, 2011

Dear Lord, please help my children to always be kind to each other and to others as it says in 1 Thes. 5:15. And please keep them safe whenever they are away from me. Thank you Jesus.
Amen
I praise and honor you, Father, because you are a God who loves to answer
prayer, and who begins to answer even before I begin to pray. Isaiah 65:24

Here's two great things to think about:
"When correcting a child, the goal is to apply light, not heat."
"Praise loudly, blame softly."
Lord, please help me to do these things with my children. Amen

Psalm 55:17 Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.
Some people pray just to pray and some people pray to know God.

Saturday, August 20, 2011

We do not develop habits of genuine love automatically. We learn by watching effective role models – most specifically by observing how our parents express love for each other day in and day out.

Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.

Meditation: I am calm and patient, and everything works out smoothly. God’s favor surrounds me continually. I am prepared, for God is with me.

"Seven days without prayer makes one weak." :)

Monday, August 8, 2011

Through years of tears and adapting to the trials and difficulties of life, you must come to the point where you make up your mind if He does not change the circumstances in your life; you are still going to praise Him. It is at that point that God can move in your situation because you have matured enough to realize that God is worthy regardless of all the things He does for you.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011

Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it.
Dear Lord, I want to thank you for the amazing development of my baby. You are the Creator of all life. You are an awesome God, full of goodness and grace. I praise you for who you are and for all that you do. Thank you for my precious baby. Amen.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

"God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them."
Psalm 139:16...All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Col 3 1-2
God has given each and everyone of us a gift. Right now, many of you are just trying to be a good mom (or mom-to-be). That is one of the most important jobs you will ever have. I encourage you seek the Lord each day and ask Him to help you.

There is no such thing as an insignificant prayer.

Monday, July 18, 2011

Living by faith, not by sight, is the normal Christian life. I am challenged by what this means in my day-to-day thinking.
Milkmakers: Cookies that help lactating moms produce milk. These were developed by a mom who needed a boost, and they worked so well, she started a company baking and selling the cookies.
Jeremiah 33:6 says 'Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

Friday, July 15, 2011

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17).
Father God, we pray that the light of Your face would shine upon us, for You have filled our hearts with greater joy than the world can offer. You give us a sense of security so we can sleep in peace. You sustain us. You shower Your blessings upon Your people. Thank You for caring for us, for sustaining us, and for providing for us. Amen.
Trust in God's timing. Luke 11:9

By working out and keeping your muscles strong throughout your pregnancy, you can greatly ease your labor and delivery.
We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on our problems.

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Dear Lord, I pray for those who are struggling with faith. Encourage them with the many examples of answered prayer in your Word and with current day testimonies. Reveal your love to them and let them know you are near. Hear and answer their heart's cry. Amen.
Does prayer make a difference? "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." Matthew 18:19
Another example of an answered prayer for a baby: Elizabeth became pregnant after God answered her husband Zechariah's prayer. She gave birth to John the Baptist. Luke 1:13

Did you know that during week 5 your baby's heart begins to beat? That is so amazing to me!
Let's pray for your little ones heart this week, to have a loving and kind heart towards others and a passionate heart for God.

When fear, anxiety or stress come knocking, refuse to answer the door. Let the Holy Spirit be your guard and your shield.

Saturday, July 9, 2011

Psalm 33:4 (NIV) For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

Friday, July 8, 2011

Your baby can see before he/she is born. The retinas become fully developed at week 26-28, and then your baby opens his/her eyes for the first time. Babies even blink their eyelids while still in the womb.
Prayer for Moms: Dear God, Thank you for giving us spiritual insight through the Holy Bible. I pray my baby will grow to have sharp spiritual vision. Let his/her eyes be open to your glory, love and power. And help me live my life so tjat my child sees you in me. Amen.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. - Ephesians 4:32 Is there someone you need to forgive today? I have at least one:)

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17) I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
For FREEDOM Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 Happy Independence Day!

“Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up” - (Proverbs 12:25, NLT)

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Note to self: Faith is not about what I think God should do;
but rather, trusting God to do it His way and in His time.

I was talking with a co-worker who is a grandma. She said when her son's wife was pregnant, the umbilical cord was attached in the wrong place. Doctors feared problems, including deafness. The family went to prayer, and do you know what happened? The baby boy was born perfect and is now a healthy 2-year old.

Friday, June 24, 2011

Something happened while I was praying for peace and contentment for our community of pregnant moms. I began to feel very peaceful and contented myself -- even though I was praying for others and not myself.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27 KJV)

God answers prayer: Karen Johnson had placenta previa (a serious condition that can cause severe bleeding, early delivery, and complications). Tests also revealed a marker for Down's syndrome. The family went to prayer. Karen had a full-term, perfectly healthy daughter!

Monday, June 20, 2011

Genesis 30:22,23 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. And she conceived and bore a son.
There have been many women asking for prayer this week who are trying to get pregnant. Please remember them in your prayers.

Saturday, June 18, 2011

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dad's out there! We just want to honor you and tell you how much you are appreciated! May you grow closer to God like never before and may he bless you richly.

Treat severe gum disease – Numerous studies reveal that pregnant women who suffer from gum disease are more likely to have premature birth. Animal studies also shown that periodontal infections impair fetal growth.
"A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society." -- Billy Graham, Christian Evangelist
Let's make sure we honor our father's this weekend!
Women in their 30s have a greater chance of having twins than women in their 20s. This is one reason twin births have increased: more women choose to start a family later nowadays.
Dear Lord, I pray for the pregnant moms who are expecting twins. Be with them through their pregnancy. Give them a good delivery. I especially ask that the babies would be born when they are mature enough to be healthy. Give the moms peace and grace. You are the Creator of life, and we praise you, our God. In Jesus' name, Amen
25% of twins born today are a surprise, meaning it was not known until days or minutes before the birth that there were twins. How exciting is that? Could you be carrying twins and not know it? Source: Twins Foundation
Here are some tips to avoid nausea while pregnant.
Eat small, frequent meals, every two hours (even through the night, if you can do that)
Dry crackers before arising;
Eat a high-carbohydrate diet: dry toast, honey, banana, baked potato, muesli and other whole-grain breakfast cereals, steamed rice, tofu
Sweet juices or flat soda in the morning
Avoid strong smells, fatty foods and spicy foods; some women cannot tolerate milk, eggs or meat
There is anecdotal evidence of acupressure to the wrists helping nausea
Vitamin B6, 50 milligrams by mouth twice a day
Do not use alcohol or tobacco, and limit coffee during the first trimester
Peppermint tea
1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. There are days I really need to work on this.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

In the U.S, about three in every 100 pregnant women give birth to twins or triplets, according to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. And by many accounts, twin pregnancies are on the rise.

Proverbs 22:4 Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.
Psalms 149:4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.
Our pastor did a great talk on humility today...something we all can work on.

1 Pet 4:7-8: The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins (NIV) If you knew that the world would end tomorrow, would you love people differently?

(NIV) If you knew that the world would end tomorrow, would you love people differently?
Galatians 5:22: But the fruit of the Spirit is... kindness (NIV). Kindness flows from knowing who we are in Christ. In Him, we are unconditionally loved and accepted with all our flaws.
Our hearts go out to pregnant moms who live in a state that is having a record-breaking heat wave right now. We pray you will be able to keep safe and comfortable.

1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
This is such a comforting verse to me and I hope it is for you also.

Monday, June 6, 2011

It's Monday. What would you most like to accomplish this week? I like the idea of giving your week a theme, such as learn new recipes, exercise more, start a journal, read a new book, clear out clutter.

Saturday, June 4, 2011

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). Let's focus on using our words to love, encourage and build up our husbands, kids, family and friends. We must be careful with the words that we speak and not inflict pain upon anyone.

Friday, June 3, 2011

Sometimes I can't sleep at night, like tonight, but this also happened often while I was pregnant. I think it's God's way of saying "Slow down and talk to me". We get so busy with our everyday lives, I think we forget to just slow down and wait upon the Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Stress is unhealthy for you & your baby. If you feel stress creeping up, try this technique. Close your eyes and inhale to a count of two and exhale to a count of four. Do this for one minute. At the same time, imagine yourself in a peaceful scene, such as on a beach or field of flowers. This one minute mental break has been shown to lower physical stress symptoms.

While I was pregnant, one of my favorite healthy summer snacks was frozen bananas...but I like to dress them up a bit. Just peel and cut banana in half, poke a stick through the bottom, spread with almond butter and roll in a sugar free granola. I like to wrap them individually in plastic and freeze overnight. They're an awesome summer treat for the kids too!
Prov. 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (NIV).
This verse is special to me because it was the first on my son learned at a young age.

Ending the day with gratitude to God. I am thankful for the Bible that guides my way. Thankful for the Holy Spirit, my comforter. Thankful for His promises that give me eternal hope. Thank you God for another day.

Monday, May 30, 2011

Happy Memorial Day! Hope everyone is enjoying the day with family, friends, and loved ones. We honor those who have served our country and remember them with gratitude.

Saturday, May 28, 2011

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)

Friday, May 27, 2011

It is so important that you get enough sleep each night, so that your body can rejuvenate itself while it's under production. Keep in mind that your days of uninterrupted sleep are numbered.

Thursday, May 26, 2011

I love this verse: Luke 12:7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. Just remember this if you are having a down day...God love us more than the sparrows...so much that He knows every hair on your head!
Some doctors say most babies born this decade will live past 100 years old, with half living to 104. Source: ABC Health News
God doesn't get too busy. God is all-powerful and ever-present, never limited. This means we must not limit our faith in Him. We must not think our request is too small to bother Him with. Nor too big for Him to handle. God is GOD.

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

Early this morning, standing in my room, brushing my hair, I prayed, Lord, how can I engage the 100+ moms on FB? And then I heard a still, small voice say, Just let them know I love them. And then it became very real to me how much God loves babies and their mothers. He honors you, the mothers.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

I love this promise, and I pray it for my children as well as for myself: "To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy." Jude 24

Monday, May 23, 2011

I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress... You will not fear... He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." From Psalm 91
Our Father God, Please be with the families who are going through floods and storms. Keep them safe. Protect the moms-to-be. Protect their babies. Guide them through these tough times. Help them to know you are near. Amen.

Friday, May 20, 2011

Two things good to do during pregnancy: walk and talk to God. Sometimes I do both at the same time. Prayer does not have to be a formal church experience. Simply talking to God is prayer. When do you talk with God?

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Exercising while pregnant provides many benefits for both mom and baby. It is a very important part of having a healthy pregnancy and even making the birth process much easier. Ask your doctor what is best for you.

JP My prayer for our children today is James 1:19............That they are swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.
